A new home

coreFusion has purchased a building and has moved all administrative operations effective June 1, 2012. Our new office is a 2500 sq ft facility with room for a ew data centre. Over the next few months we will be designing and building a new data centre in our own facility. Until then all data centre activity remains at 151 Front Street.

Owning the building has many advantages such as the ability to build a new data centre without the restrictions of lease hold improvements. Our new data centre will have green power and will use free cooling in the winter months and energy efficienyt cooling in the summer.

New data centre

coreFusion is developing a new data centre based on industry standard ISO shipping containers.

In an effort to be even more environmentally conscious, coreFusion has designed a new data centre to be built locally from recycled shipping containers. The new facility will allow us to manage cooling better, taking advantage of “free cooling” by utilizing colder outside air during our cold Canadian winters. During our hot summers, coreFusion will manage cooling by only needing to cool a small space versus cooling a larger environment such as our existing facility.

Watch for further developments as we launch more exciting services based upon ISO shipping containers in the future.

On the move

coreFusion has successfully moved our entire data centre. We out grew the last space and have moved to 151 Front Street West in downtown Toronto. 151 Front Street is a carrier neutral data centre, with over 318,000 sq feet of raised floor, more than 100 fibre carriers and 24/7 security.

Our network was upgraded to a full Gigabit backbone and Local Area Network simultaneously.
